Kimberlites
Enhanced Feature definition of Kimberlites & 3-D Modelling of MAB(E)The power of the ERDAS IMAGINE, VirtualGIS & ER Mapper software has already been shown on the associated webpage: Multi-layer Surface Modelling. Here we look at some examples of the image filtering tools in the software may be used to enhance geological features in aeromagnetic data. It is also illustrated below how one can improve visualizations by experimenting with different drapes and modified versions of the digital terrain model (DTM) used in the surface modelling process. The images produced here have been created using the ERDAS ® software.
